Zambia’s National Disaster Management Policy sets out a proactive, community-based, multi-sectoral framework to reduce disaster risk and strengthen preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery. Issued by the Office of the Vice President through the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit in August 2005.
